iGotYou: The Anti-Theft App for Your iPhone
iGotYou is an anti-theft app designed to help you identify intruders and thieves with the help of an alarm, photo, and location (using GPS). It can be used on iPhone, iPod, and iPad. The app requires you to configure your email settings on the first launch. It is recommended to create a dedicated iGotYou email account from Gmail or Hotmail. Once you have created a new email account for iGotYou, enter the email and password information in the app to complete the email settings.
After completing the email settings, you can select from three different modes: Motion Alert, Pocket/Bag Alert, and Power Alert. Each mode is designed to alert you when someone tries to move or take your phone. The app will send an email with a picture and device location to your configured email address. You have 15 seconds to disarm the app by selecting your secret pattern before hearing an alarm.
The app also offers additional features such as enabling/disabling the use of flashlight when an alarm is triggered, saving the photo to your photo album, configuring the retry count and selecting the preferred sound from the list of sounds (including None for no sound).
